The Kan equestrian body protector for women not only offers the maximum in strength & flexibility, but very importantly has been designed by a women for women and offers the additional important feature of comfort with style.

The Kan body protector is the inspiration of Wendy McCaughan who has a long pedigree in creating performance clothing. She has a comprehensive knowledge of the fit and comfort issues associated with protective clothing, through developing garments for many UK and European police forces and the military.

As a keen horse rider, she is highly aware of fit and comfort issues for women.

The Kan body protector is unique in several areas: firstly it consists of specific "body formed" moulds, fitting the wearer perfectly. The female style is not only shaped to fit waist, chest and back dimensions but it also accommodates the bust and curves into the small of the back. The body protector is instantly pliable and comfortable due to the revolutionary composition of the foam panels.

It is also innovative in its design; the protective panels overlap at the sides and are not clamped in place, so that they can move with the wearer and as the outer cover has 2-way stretch, allowing the garment to extend, the garment is therefore supremely comfortable and not restrictive. It is fully adjustable.

The foam panels have been developed by a company who is a world leader in motorcycle protective clothing.

The cover are made from fabrics which are light with high abrasion resistance. The protector’s shell is ‘Tencel-coated’ for stain resistance and waterproofing and has two-way stretch properties. The lining is a material that is highly suitable for this protective garment; it is hydrophilic and remains dry to touch, transporting moisture away from the surface.

The Kan body protector conforms to EN 13158 (“Protective jackets, body and shoulder protectors for horse riders”). It is CE marked to denote compliance with the EU Personal Protective Equipment Directive 89/686/EEC.

Sizing

There are two different length styles, with four sizes in each and all are fully adjustable to cover an extensive range of body shapes. To find a suitable size look up your usual dress size and cross refer on the chart below.
