The Myler MB02 Mouthpiece with Independent Side Movement.
A Level One bit:
- Curved Mouthpiece
- Uses tongue pressure and bar pressure. Working mostly off of the tongue, but distributing the weight more evenly than traditional designs.
- Uses restrict and release action
Right from the start of training, the Myler Bitting System conveys your commands more effectively by "going soft" on your horse's mouth. With a special "no-pinch" barrel and curved mouthpiece that applies firm pressure, not pain, on the tongue, the Comfort Snaffle gives you and your horse a first taste of the superior communication at all levels of training that only Myler provides.
When matched with the Loose Ring cheek piece, the metal in the Comfort Snaffle is Sweet Iron. Sweet Iron is made from black iron and copper, creating a metal that promotes moisture in the horse’s mouth. The black iron and copper compound slowly oxidises and rusts. Slow-acting and harmless to horses, the oxidation has a sweet taste that horses like and which encourages salivation. This metal will almost always discolour. The cheeks and all the joints of the bits are made from stainless steel and will not rust or bind.
Only the 28, 29 and 42 Cheek Pieces are Dressage Legal with this mouth piece. The 41 is dressage legal, but only available in the 4.5".
The non-dressage legal cheek pieces are also listed. Please contact us if you would like bitting advice or to make use of our hire service.
