Sealskinz Winter Ladies Riding Glove

The SealSkinz Winter Ladies Riding Glove has been designed by SealSkinz specifically for horseriding in cold conditions.

The glove is shaped for ladies hands ensuring an excellent fit which will increase comfort and dexterity, reducing the need to remove your gloves for the trickier tacking up jobs, and keeping your hands warm and dry longer.

The glove has a supple sheepskin palm and finger reinforcement to reduce the wear caused by the reins increasing their durability.

The glove is made from a special Porelle membrane which is laminated between the inner and outer layers of the glove, it is both waterproof and breathable. A totally waterproof but non-breathable glove would be very uncomfortable to wear, as perspiration would have no means of escaping, thus condensing on the inside of the glove, leaving the hand 'wet from within' and feeling cold. 

Other manufacturers use a coating to achieve waterproof products.  However coatings are not always durable, and can be damaged during repeated washing and flexing wear.

Why is this membrane important?  A primary means for heat loss from hands is conduction. This occurs when there is a temperature difference between the hand (the heat source) & the external colder environment. Heat loss is slowed by the gloves material. Air is a poor conductor of heat, and consequently an efficient insulator. Water conducts heat 24 times more effectively than air, and is therefore a poor insulator.

As SealSkinz products are waterproof and breathable, so the spaces in the fabric are filled with air, not water; therefore SealSkinz gloves slows heat loss much more effectively and your hands stay warm & dry.

An additional benefit is the gloves can be machine washed (40°C max).  They are best dried by turning them inside out and putting them in the airing cupboard or leave to drip dry overnight.

These sizes are for the unisex gloves.  Please add approx 2 sizes on for the correct Ladies size glove.  For example, if you measure Small on this chart, you will probably need a Large Ladies glove.
